Bye Bye Birdie Pictures and Cinderella Preview

*CLICK ANY PICTURE TO SEE IT AT FULL SCALE*

I finally remembered to bring my camera (and batteries!) to rehearsal, and I got some pictures of the auditorium. Unfortunately, it was a bit too dark for my camera to take anything decent, but you can get the basic idea of what I'm trying to show you. Also unfortunately, I was unable to get pictures of the set since we can't sit in the audience while we run the show, and it was pushed out of the way before we started. Hopefully I'll be able to get pictures of it soon!

Check out all the seating! Apparently the theatre seats around 950 people. There are more seats on the sides, but I was unable to get them in the frame. The black square past the furthest row of seats is where the lighting and sound is controlled. Draw your attention to the closest part of the picture -see where the stage has metal grating? That's the orchestra pit (and the grates help to keep us actors from falling on top of the musicians, should one of the actors happen to lose their balance!).

A closer view of the seats. All of the kids in the picture are from the Teen Chorus, with the exception of the girl in the purple shirt nearest to the camera - she plays Ursula.

A view of the stage (which is actually a lot bigger than the picture angle makes it look). You can see a bit of the set pushed way back - the pink upper room is Kim's bedroom. The lower green box is the living room of the MacAfee house. Right next to these boxes, you might be able to see the stairs which lead to the upper level.

This isn't Bye Bye Birdie (obviously). I took this picture a while ago, but am just now getting it off of my camera. This is the window display for Cinderella auditions at LionHeart Productions headquarters. It was still up when I went there for costume stuff.
